The Minnesota Young Republicans is a non-profit organization established to attract young people age 18-40 into the Republican Party of Minnesota and to aid the Republican Party in electing qualified candidates. The MNYRs were founded by former Minnesota Governor Harold Stassen in 1935, who was also instrumental in forming the Young Republican National Federation in the 1930's.
Throughout the years, the MNYRs have had many distinguished current and former members who serve and have served as elected officials and RPM party leaders from Governors Harold Stassen and Arne Carlson to countless local elected officials. Check out the Hall of Fame to see our distinguished alumni.

Young Republican Rumble
Started in 1999, and first held at the home of current-Congressman Mark Kennedy, late each summer the MNYRs hold the "Young Republican Rumble." This exciting social event involves food, fun and friendly competition, as MNYR members team up with their home counties to challenge the other members in spirited games of volleyball, football, badminton, lawn darts, foosball and other feats of athletic skill and prowess.
Special Events
The MNYRs hold periodic special events, such as "gun shoots," happy hours and other social and political activities designed to spur membership and facilitate fellowship among our friends and colleagues. MNYR members also frequently receive "discounted" admission to political fundraising events (such as the February, 2000 Elizabeth Dole event or the 2000 Senator Nickles / Senator Grams event) designed to enable our members to meet and greet noteworthy local and national Republican officials and dignitaries.
Check the calendar or sign up for our e-mail newsletter to stay informed of these special events!!!
