Tuesday was an exciting day for the Minnesota Young Republicans, and Minnesotans as a whole. We would like to officially take this chance to congratulate Senator Parry on his victory! His victory is also a victory for the people of Minnesota. With the budget woes facing the people of Minnesota, strong conservatives like Parry are absolutely necessary to prevent the DFL from raising taxes.
As you should well know, the Young Republicans were quick to endorse Mike Parry for the January 26th special election for Senate District 26. In our first big campaign push of 2010, the YR’s teamed up and drove down to Faribault to help door-knock and lit-drop for Parry. Our efforts, along with the efforts of donors, campaign volunteers, campaign staff, and the Republican Party of Minnesota helped convince the people of Senate District 26 that Mike Parry was the clear choice!
2010 is a pivotal year in Minnesota, and the country as a whole. With electoral successes like Bob McDonnell’s in Virginia, Chris Christie’s in New Jersey, Scott Brown’s in Massachusetts, and now Mike Parry’s in Minnesota, 2010 is shaping up to be a turning point in American politics. To keep this momentum going, your time and support is needed now more than ever.
